ABOUT US

Oakland Events is a small event planning and production company focusing almost exclusively on street festivals in Oakland, CA. Our mission is to revitalize Oakland, by establishing street festivals that celebrate Oakland cultural arts, build community, and promote small independent businesses located in the neighborhood commercial districts around the city. 
The managers of Oakland Events are well established in Oakland, enjoying widespread support among City of Oakland staff, political officials, merchant associations, corporate sponsors, print and broadcast media, and thousands of consumers in the Bay Area. We have a proven track record of providing exceptional services to a broad base of clients including consumer product companies, municipal agencies, civic, and charitable organizations. 
The Oakland Events team has over a decade of experience in marketing and project management in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Our relationships with local businesses, merchant leaders, community groups, corporations, and media contacts are what make us so unique. We seek to leverage these relationships in order to best develop and facilitate creative events that revitalize our local communities and best serve your needs.

Event Experience

Lakefest ’08, Event Producer
Location: Lakeshore Avenue Business District, Oakland.
Street Closure: Lakeshore Avenue from Lake Park Ave to Mandana Ave.
Event Budget: $53,000
Event Description: Main stage featuring live music, Green Living Expo, Kid’s Town, 80 Vendors and 5 Food Booths, Wine Tasting Tent, and beverage booth.
Attendance: 12,000
 
Thursday Night Live, Event Producer
Location:  Historic Old Oakland District, Oakland.
Street Closure: 9th and Washington Street.
Event Budget: $25,000
Event Description: Summer  bi-monthly concert series featuring a main stage with live music, beverage garden, and Oakland’s Local First Market Place showcasing Oakland based artists and merchants.
Attendance: 500 per event (10 total)

Montclair Pet Adopt-a-thon, Event Producer
Location: Montclair Village Business District, Oakland.
Street Closure: Mountain Boulevard and Antioch Ct.
Event Budget: $10,000
Event Description: Featured 20 bay area pet adoption agencies, pet service and products companies, Pet Look A Like contest, Pet Fashion Show with runway.
Attendance: 2,000

Pacific National Bank- Grand Opening Event, Event Planner
